Mountain trip lets go!

Seksound invites you to trip to the mountains of Pia Fraus!  Brand new video for the wondrous and ambient track “Mountain Trip Guide” by Pia Fraus is out now. It is directed and edited by the former Pia Fraus drummer Joosep Volk.

“The song’s atmosphere is interpersonal, resonating a familiarity and tranquil mood. The song is full of luscious sounds, painting imagery that feels remote, almost isolating. Pia Fraus entertain the idea of feeling abandoned by yourself in such stunning areas, even if that area is within the depths of yourself. “Mountain Trip Guide” is sure to bring a formidable emotion to the forefront of one’s life. The song now has an accompanying music video, which can be seen below. “Mountain Trip Guide” is off of Pia Fraus’ recent record Field Ceremony” New Noise Magazine

“This one has got much of its inspiration from Scottish mountains and trips to Scotland we’ve made with our friends and bandmates. I like that, in the end, this song that had started off from almighty nature, gained an even erotic undertone. It has some hazyness, overwhelmingness, a feeling that you’ve got lost in the mountains or simply in your own feelings.” – Pia Fraus

That’s Not All!

We have excellent news!
In anticipation of the fall 2017 release of their first full-length album in almost a decade, Pia Fraus are releasing an EP entitled That’s Not All on our own little Seksound Record Label.

In 2016, Pia Fraus broke their long silence by releasing their first single in eight years entitled “Autumn Winds”. That was followed up by the split single “Cloudy Eyes” in 2017. “That’s Not All” will be the final track on their forth coming album, and marks a return for these dreampop veterans. The main track on the EP is full of meandering guitars, floating harmonized vocals, and perfectly timed pop sensibilities.

Included on the EP are a number of remixes of “That’s Not All” including from Chicago’s shoegaze wonders Airiel, Estonia’s experimental electronic artist Galaktlan, German electronic maestro Ulrich Schnauss, Estonia’s very own dreampop band Picnic, and thenorth eastern United States electronic conglomerate of Mahogany.

The That’s Not All EP will be released on May 29, 2017 in both digital and limited CD formats.

Autumn Winds are here!

Pia Fraus ends their 8-years halt with an autumn single

After eight years of silence, the Tallinn shoegazers Pia Fraus return with a brand new single giving a taster of the album to be out next year. The band’s new single “Autumn Winds” is released by their home label Seksound. The track is a a concentrate of yearning for autumn, rains ja wind, so everything is still great. The noisy startoff drifts into dreamy verse and then to higher reaching glittering chorus – that’s Pia Fraus as they are loved.

“Autumn winds” is written by Rein Fuks, mixed and mastered by a renowned pilot in the analogue-skies – Lauri Liivak. The single’s sleeve features a photo by indie scene’s grand old man and camera talent Tauno Pääslane, and its all brought brilliantly together by Seksound’s favourite designer and artist Kaarel Vahtramäe.

In addition to the original track, the single presents two remixes: from Pia Fraus’ drummer’s soloproject Wolfredt and an old friend of dreampop fans – Picnic. “Autumn Winds” will be digitally available through all the channels we’re used to – Spotify, Youtube, Bandcamp, Soundcloud, etc. In Scandinavia and the Baltics, the single is brought to you by Playground Music, in the US and the rest of the world by Darla Records. Autumn Winds CD is hand numbered and limited to 250 copies!
